When Yannick contacted me for his project, he already had a structured vision of his portal. He wanted to make it a main gate(portal) for gold purchase
The concept of the purchase site as well as all information about the subject being stated, we were quickly able to reach an agreement on the realization: modelling the most attractive possible ingot on the central part, the menu all around; we brought originality - a dream touch - while staying serious and the sober.
I then established all the documentary part on the subject, as complete and attractive as possible. One can find there: Etymology and Chemistry of Gold - History of Gold - In search of a standard - The golden gate - etc. …
Yannick also wanted to be able, through a light administration interface, to update the stock-exchange quotations of gold. Via a secure zone, I built a small on-line interface.
The big part of the work followed … Usually I take advantage of illustrative picture libraries allowing to really personalize the projects; however I didn’t find exactly what I wanted, to put strength and identity on his site; so I had to model and to texture the ingot (through Blender3D software), and then with Photoshop for the integration and the rest of the page.
Conclusion? It was a real pleasure to experiment several ways to achieve this… golden result!
